Purple Bane, Purple Bane! I encountered him on the show floor before he popped up in the Contest. His stage appearance included his own version of the song, with backing track by, apropos of Bane, the Revolution.
Previously on Midlife Crisis Crossover: my wife and I attended Gen Con 2014 and took pictures as usual.
Part One was the Costume Contest Winners; Part Two was more entrants to same, many of whom sported equally fine work and/or delivered entertaining performances in their own right. This time: our last remaining Costume Contest pics, some of which are beyond usability, but I like to be as inclusive as possible, often to a fault. If you were in the Contest and you’re not in any of those three entries, you have our sincerest apologies.
Onward:

Robbie Sinclair from the forgotten old sitcom Dinosaurs. Unofficial winner of the Oh, Wow, I’d Totally Forgotten About That Show Award.

Characters from the Steve Jackson/John Kovalic card game series Munchkin. At left is Johnny Zucchiniseed, and I don’t trust my notes on the names of the other three.

Introduced as “Jack the Ripper”. Updated 8/17/2014, 11:45 EDT: my son pins him as Raiden from Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance.

Another Queen Elsa from Disney’s Frozen, this one wearing a dress containing over 6,000 individually attached sequins. Now that is dedication.

Someone from Squad 10, from Bleach. I didn’t hear the MC drop any other proper noun for this one, and Googling “winged Bleach fairy guy” doesn’t yield useful results for anyone involved. (Updated 8/17/2014, 11:45 EDT: Another credit for my son, who tells me this is Choji from Naruto, not Bleach.)
To be continued!

Other chapters in this very special MCC series:
* Part One: The Costume Contest Winners
* Part Two: More from the Costume Contest
* Part Four: Costumes Around the Show Floor
* Part Five: Last Call for Costumes
* Part Six: Things Besides Costumes
the Dinosaurs costume, OH MY GOSH.

I like it! I know a guy that I always think resembles Sinclair, the Dinosaurs baby! I don’t mean it as an insult, he just looks like ’em! I’ve never been to one of these conventions, I’d like to go sometime.

They’re draining and pricey, but they’re a blast. In a bit of inconvenient scheduling, we have another one coming up this weekend. So we’ll have yet another round of photos to sort through. After that we’ll probably have to spend September eating lots of hot dogs and soup.

I’d like experience at least one sometime, ditto on a horror convention. I don’t even know if my area has one…the closest conventions I know of are usually in the Philadelphia PA, Cherry Hill NJ, Toronto ON areas, I shall google!
I hope you have a nice variety of soup flavors=)
