Previously on Midlife Crisis Crossover:
In 2019 my wife Anne and I attended our very first Dragon Con in Atlanta, Georgia. As one of the longest-running science fiction conventions in America, Dragon Con had received rave reviews from our internet friends over the past two decades, some of whom recommended it to us more than once and, according to my notes, would never shut up about it. We had so much of a blast that we returned in 2021. Third time was the charm this Labor Day weekend as we repeated the eight-hour drive from Indianapolis to that amazing colossal southern spectacle…
You’re still here? You’re awesome! It’s our sixth gallery from D*C’s annual Saturday morning cosplay parade, always one of our favorite events. The starter exhortations in Part 5 still apply here: if you recognize any characters we didn’t, by all means please let us know! Our egos aren’t so fragile that we can’t handle corrections and lessons about stuff we don’t watch or read, especially if we did watch/read it but then totally forgot about it. Between us we took over 600 photos and couldn’t possibly have known everyone. Related note: if you or someone you know was in the parade and you’re hoping for shots of them, pretty-please let us know! We’re taking requests! We’ll be happy to search our files and post ’em if we got ’em. You might come away disappointed, or you might not!
Those among you who saw the five previous chapters noticed some cosplayers marched with teams, groups, and other affiliations. The following gallery welcomes additional members from some of those alongside several others we haven’t mentioned yet. This extremely organized festivity encourages group participation and showcases it from all walks of pop culture. Enjoy yet again also still more!

Marching for the charity CURE Childhood Cancer: Monkey D. Luffy, the Batman Family, Raven, a blue raptor wrangler, and Captain Jack Sparrow, whome I overlooked when I was harvesting Disney IPs.

Sure, we’ve posted Cult of Marriott Carpet samples, but they also have their own Carpet Marching Band.

Acolytes from the Cult of Jon kick off their fifth year of super-inside-jokey googly-eyed Fed Ex fervor.

For the Arms of Middle Earth: Galadriel from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Durin IV and Disa from The Rings of Power.

From the Dragon Con Theater tribe: two Heathers from Heathers and Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors.

Not the first shot we’ve posted of the Seed and Feed Marching Abominable, at least one of whom holds dual membership here and in the Cult of Jon.

More Prydon Academy Whovians include the Thirteenth Doctor, Osgood, the Fugitive Doctor, and a Time Lord.

For the science-minded Skeptics squad, NASA engineer Mary Jackson, who was played by Janelle Monae in the Best Picture nominee Hidden Figures.

The Horror Group was another large gathering. Among the visible: Ghostface, the Creepshow cockroach guy, The Shining twins, Ricky Park from Nope, Lizzie Borden, and Sam from Trick or Treat.

DC/horror mash-up time with Harley Krueger and Poison Pennywise. A Victorian Beetlejuice rounds out the line.

It’s not a great shot, but there’s something about Roy Batty from Blade Runner spending his final moments alone with a stray dove.
